Vaccines are quick, but the details matter, what you have had, what you are due for, and how you react. A little prep keeps your record accurate and your visit smooth.
Bring your immunization history if you have it, and note any vaccines you know you are due for or traveling for. Write down any past reactions to a vaccine, and any allergies.
List your current medications and conditions, since some affect which vaccines are right and when. If you are pregnant, recently ill, or have a weakened immune system, note that to discuss.
Your provider will confirm what you are getting, check for reasons to wait, and note it in your record. Ask for the name and date of each vaccine so you can keep your own copy.
Take notes as the doctor talks, record the meeting (with their permission!) in myStoria, or add a quick voice note to myStoria as soon as possible afterward so that you are not relying on memory alone.
Before you leave the clinic, ask for copies of anything from the visit, like lab results, assessments, or referrals, and upload them to myStoria to keep your history complete. (If you aren't able to get copies, connect with Concierge and we can help you source them!)
Mild soreness, tiredness, or a low fever for a day or two is common. Note how you felt so you have it for next time, and add today's vaccines to your record.
If you have a severe reaction like trouble breathing, swelling, or hives, seek care right away. Otherwise, set a reminder for any next dose your provider mentioned.
