Meet Fertility Friends Foundation

This week's featured partner: a registered Canadian charity that hands out real money toward IVF, egg and sperm donation, and surrogacy.

Fertility treatment in Canada is expensive, and most of it isn't covered. One IVF cycle can run $10,000 to $25,000 before medication. Egg donation can start around $50,000. Surrogacy can climb past $85,000 once legal and agency fees are added. For most people, that's the size of a second mortgage. Fertility Friends Foundation exists to put a dent in that number.

Two fertility doctors built this

Fertility Friends Foundation (FFF) is a registered Canadian charity founded by two Toronto fertility specialists, Dr. Chloé Roumain and Dr. Frederick Dzineku, who saw the same thing over and over in their own clinic: good candidates for treatment who couldn't afford it. FFF reports it has distributed over $540,000 in grants since launching (foundation-reported figure, per their 2025 Impact Report).

The board includes a fertility lawyer, a CPA, a CTV news anchor, and several members who went through their own infertility or surrogacy journeys before joining.
