New partnership gets people living with migraine their health records in hand, with trained professionals who retrieve them and help build the case for drug coverage.
KITCHENER, ON, November 6, 2026: Migraine Canada, a national charity for people living with migraine, and myStoria, a Canadian patient-owned health records platform, today announced a partnership that gives Migraine Canada community supporters 6 months of myStoria Premium free. Individuals sign up through Migraine Canada, and with their authorization, myStoria retrieves their health records, organizes them, and gets them ready for their next appointment or drug-coverage application.
Getting a migraine treatment covered often means proving what you already tried. That list of medications, doses and dates is usually spread across clinics, pharmacies and old paper files. Today, the person living with migraine is the one who has to chase it all down. myStoria takes that work off their plate.
"To get coverage for the newer medications in the market in Canada, individuals often have to prove every one that failed before it," said Jessica Chalk, CEO of myStoria. "Most people end up rebuilding that list from memory, in a doctor's office, while they're in pain. That's not a reasonable thing to ask of anyone. For the Migraine Canada community, our Concierge team does that work. We chase the records, organize the history, and get it ready before they need it. That's what working for the patient looks like."
"Our community tells us that getting the right treatment often comes down to paperwork and proof," said Wendy Gerhart, Executive Director of Migraine Canada. "This partnership gives our community another practical tool in addition to the Canadian Migraine Tracker app that does that work for them. We're proud to offer it to our supporters, so they spend less time on paperwork and more time getting the care they need."
Over the coming months, Migraine Canada will feature myStoria in its monthly newsletter and on its website. The two organizations will also share education content through social channels and at upcoming events.
