Autoimmune conditions affect fertility more than many realize. Learn how Hashimoto's, APS, lupus, and celiac can impact conception and pregnancy.
A persistent cough can point to a lot of things, and the details you bring shape how fast you get answers. Here is what to prepare, what to ask, and how to handle the days after your visit.
Note how long the cough has lasted, whether it is dry or brings up mucus, and what makes it better or worse. Track anything tied to it: fever, chest tightness, wheezing, or a cough that flares at night.
Write down the medications you have already tried and how they worked. Bring a list of your current prescriptions, your allergies, and any recent travel or new exposures at home or work.
Expect your doctor to listen to your lungs, walk through the timeline, and check for signs of infection or allergy. Share your notes early so nothing gets missed in a short visit.
Take notes as the doctor talks, record the meeting (with their permission!) in myStoria, or add a quick voice note to myStoria as soon as possible afterward so that you are not relying on memory alone.
Before you leave the clinic, ask for copies of anything from the visit, like lab results, assessments, or referrals, and upload them to myStoria to keep your history complete. (If you aren't able to get copies, connect with Concierge and we can help you source them!)
After the visit, keep tracking the cough the same way. Note whether it improves on the plan you were given, and flag any new symptoms right away.
If the cough has not eased in the timeframe your doctor gave you, book a follow-up rather than waiting it out. Bring your updated notes so the next visit picks up where this one left off.
With myStoria, your symptom notes, medications, and questions stay in one place, so every appointment starts prepared. When you want to talk something through, you can schedule a video consult in advance with a member of our team, several of whom are nurses.
