Ovarian rejuvenation with PRP, or Platelet-Rich Plasma, is an emerging treatment that uses a person’s own blood to potentially improve ovarian function. It is being explored as a way to help individuals with low ovarian reserve or early menopause who are trying to conceive using their own eggs.

PRP is created by drawing a small sample of your blood, then spinning it in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets. These platelets are rich in growth factors that help with healing and tissue regeneration. In this treatment, the PRP is injected directly into the ovaries with the hope of “reawakening” resting follicles and supporting egg development.

While still considered experimental, early research and case studies suggest it may help some people increase their ovarian hormone levels or improve their response to fertility treatments like IVF.
