Welcome to myStoria, a reproductive health app that acts as a partner for people going through complex health journeys. It holds your whole story and helps you actually use it.
Please carefully read and understand the following Terms of Service (“Terms”) as they govern your use of our technology platform (the “myStoria Platform”) through which our Services (as defined below) are delivered. These Terms are between you and myStoria Inc. (“myStoria”). When used in these Terms, the terms “us”, “we” and “our” refer to myStoria and the term “you” means you as an individual registering to use the myStoria Platform.
These Terms apply to your use of myStoria across all platforms, including our website and mobile applications available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our myStoria Platform or Services.
#1 Acceptance of Terms
By using our Services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. These Terms may be updated from time to time, and it is your responsibility to review them periodically. Your continued use of the myStoria Platform or Services after any changes to these Terms signifies your acceptance of those changes.
#2 User Accounts & Age Requirement
Age Requirement. You represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older. You must be the older of: (i) 18 years, or (ii) at least the age of majority in the jurisdiction where you reside and from which you use the Services. myStoria is not intended for use by individuals under 18 years of age.
Account Registration. To access and use the myStoria Platform, you must register for a myStoria account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete. To complete your account registration, you must provide us with your full legal name, a valid email address, and any other information indicated as required.
Third-Party Information. You may add information about other individuals to your account, including partners, donors, surrogates, and children. You represent and warrant that you have obtained all necessary consents and authorizations to add information about other individuals to your account, including in your profile information and uploaded medical records. If you add information about minors, you represent that you are their parent or legal guardian or otherwise have legal authority to manage their health information. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to collect, store, and process any third-party information you add to myStoria. myStoria is not responsible for disputes between you and third parties regarding information you add to your account.
Account Security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, including username and password, and for all activities that occur under your account. For your protection, sessions expire after 30 days of inactivity, with a maximum session lifetime of 90 days, after which re-authentication is required. myStoria cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage from your failure to maintain the security of your account and password. We may request additional security measures at any time and reserve the right to adjust these requirements at our discretion. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.
#3 Services Provided
Through the myStoria Platform, we provide an AI-powered reproductive health solution built around you — your history, your story, your care. Our Services include, but are not limited to:
a) AI-Powered Health Companion — A conversational AI interface that helps you understand your health information, organize your reproductive health journey, and surface personalized insights based on your uploaded records and full health history.
b) Medical Record Analysis — AI-assisted review of your uploaded documents, lab results, and health records — translated into clear, actionable summaries so you’re never left decoding results alone.
c) Your Health Profile — A comprehensive, easy-to-understand picture of your health journey, built to support both you and the care providers you choose to share it with.
d) The Vault — A secure solution for storing, organizing, and accessing your medical documents. Your health story, yours to keep, share, or take anywhere.
e) Concierge Service — Access to trained professionals who already know your story. They can review your information, provide guidance, and support you through the decisions and moments that need a human (see Section 4 for details).
f) Community (optional participation) – Extra informational resources and connection to others with shared experiences.
g) (collectively, the “Services”).
We reserve the right to add to, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the myStoria Platform or Services at any time. We’ll let you know via the email address on your account or a notice posted in the Platform.
Service Availability: myStoria is currently available to individuals residing in Canada or the United States.
#4 Concierge Service
Our Concierge Service consists of various consultation and support services offered by a team of knowledgeable staff who are here to support you on your health journey through education, offering relevant suggestions to be discussed with your healthcare provider, obtaining and uploading your medical records to your profile, and connecting you with experts.
AI Assistance. Our Concierge Team may use AI technology to support their work, including preparing information for your review. When AI is used to generate or assist with content, this is identified within the platform. The Concierge Team reviews AI-generated content when you specifically request human review or as part of our internal quality assurance process. AI-generated responses provided directly to you through the chat interface are clearly marked as AI-generated.
Privacy. By utilizing the Concierge Service, you consent to our Concierge Team accessing your profile information and records within the myStoria Platform on a need-to-know basis. Concierge Team members do not have access to your AI chat history or personal data unless you specifically request their assistance with a particular matter.
Communication. Health-related communications with your Concierge Team take place within the myStoria Platform. We may occasionally use email for technical support and troubleshooting, but will not transmit your health information via unencrypted email. One-on-one video consultations may be offered through a secure platform; details will be provided within the app when this service is available.
#5 AI-Powered Features & Limitations
How We Use AI. The myStoria Platform uses artificial intelligence technology to power its core features. AI is embedded throughout your experience, including conversational chat, health record analysis, insight generation, and profile summaries. Our user-facing AI features are powered by Google (Gemini). For details on how AI providers handle your data, see our Privacy Policy.
Your Data and AI. Your personal health data is stored securely in your own account and is not shared with other myStoria users. Your data is not used to train AI models. When you interact with AI features, we combine our curated health knowledge base with your individual profile and health information to provide personalized responses. This means AI responses are tailored to you, but your data remains yours and is not shared across user accounts.
AI Limitations. AI technology has inherent limitations. AI-generated content, insights, analyses, and chat responses may contain inaccuracies, may be incomplete, and should not be treated as definitive. You acknowledge that:
• AI-generated content is for informational and organizational purposes only
• AI may produce incorrect or incomplete outputs
• You should not rely on AI-generated content as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
• Any health-related decisions should be made in consultation with a licensed healthcare provider
Human Support. myStoria is not an emergency medical service or crisis service. If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 (US) or your local emergency number. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (US) or 9-8-8 (Canada). For non-emergency support, Concierge access is available within the app for users on eligible subscription plans, allowing you to request human review of AI responses or get additional guidance.
AI Consent. AI is an integral part of the myStoria experience and cannot be disabled independently. By using the myStoria Platform, you consent to AI processing of your data as described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you no longer wish to have your data processed by AI, you may delete your account at any time.
Right to Human Review. You may request human review of any AI-generated analysis or insight by contacting us at concierge@mystoria.com. We will review the specific content you flag for errors and respond to such requests within the timeframes described in Section 8.
#6 Health Data & Consent
Sensitive Health Information. myStoria collects and processes sensitive health information, including health data, medical records, lab results, medication history, and other personal health information that you choose to upload or enter into the platform. By creating an account and using our Services, you explicitly consent to this collection and processing.
Data Storage. Your data is currently stored on secure servers in Canada and the United States. If you are located in Canada, you acknowledge that your data will be transferred to and stored in the United States, which has different privacy laws than Canada. We will notify you of any material changes to where your data is stored.
No Sale of Health Data. myStoria does not sell your personal health data. We do not share your health data for advertising purposes. We do not use your data to train AI models.
Service Improvement. We may use your data to evaluate and improve service quality, including reviewing the accuracy of AI-generated insights, improving our health knowledge base, and enhancing the overall myStoria experience.
#7 Privacy and Confidentiality
Our team at myStoria understands the importance and sensitivity of the information that you entrust to us. We commit to maintaining the confidentiality, privacy and security of your information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which can be found at [link]. Key commitments include:
• Your data is encrypted at rest and in transit using industry-standard protocols
• Your data is not sold, shared for advertising, or used to train AI models
• All third-party service providers are bound by data processing agreements
• You control your data: you can view your information in the app or delete it at any time
• In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected users promptly, and no later than 30 days after confirming the breach
#8 User Data Rights
You have the following rights regarding your data:
Right to Access. You can view all information you have entered into myStoria, including text chats, voice notes, AI responses and summaries, and uploaded documents, directly within the app at any time.
Right to Delete. You may delete your account and all associated data through your account settings within the app, or by contacting our Concierge Team at concierge@mystoria.com. Upon receiving your request, your data is removed from our production systems within 7 days. Backup copies are purged within 30 days as backups naturally age out. Deleted data is not restored or accessed except as required by law. We retain minimal audit logs (hashed, non-identifying) for 12 months to verify we honored your deletion request, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Right to Correct. You may update or correct your information at any time through the myStoria Platform or by contacting our Concierge Team.
Do Not Sell. myStoria does not sell your personal information. If you wish to exercise your rights under applicable “Do Not Sell” laws, you may contact us at privacy@mystoria.com.
Response Timelines. We will acknowledge your data rights request within 10 business days and complete the request within 30 days, unless an extension is necessary and communicated to you.
#9 Educational Materials
The myStoria Platform contains educational materials that are offered to assist you in your health journey. While we carefully select and create articles and content that we consider to be potentially valuable to you, what you do with the information remains at your sole discretion and we cannot take responsibility for any decisions that you make in reliance on such materials. We encourage you to consult with your healthcare professional when making any decisions about your care.
#10 myStoria Community on Circle
We have created a dedicated space moderated by our Concierge Team and hosted on the Circle platform where you can connect with others, share experiences, ask questions, and receive personalized guidance. Please note that while we have set up this forum for the benefit of our Users, it does not form part of our Services or the myStoria Platform. As such, participation in the myStoria Community on Circle is purely at your discretion and your use of the Circle platform for this purpose is subject to Circle Platform Terms of Service, including privacy policies as it may apply to any information that you share on the platform. Under these Terms, which only govern your use of the myStoria Platform and other Services, myStoria does not take any responsibility for any content that you post to the forum on Circle.
Community Access. myStoria offers access to a private community hosted on Circle (circle.so), a third-party platform operated by CircleCo, Inc. and based in the United States. To facilitate your access, we share your email address with Circle when you create your myStoria account. No health information, account activity, or other personal data is shared with Circle. Your participation in the community is voluntary — you are not required to engage with or use the Circle community. Circle processes your information in accordance with their privacy policy, available at circle.so/privacy. If you do not want to participate in Circle, contact concierge@mystoria.com to have your email information deleted from Circle.
#11 Intellectual Property
myStoria alone (and its third-party licensors, where applicable) shall own all right, title and interest, including all related intellectual property rights, in and to the myStoria Platform and the Services. You agree that you may not use any trademarks, logos, or service marks of myStoria, whether registered or unregistered (“myStoria Trademarks”) unless you are authorized to do so by myStoria in writing.
Feedback. If you provide us with suggestions, ideas, feedback, enhancement requests, or other input regarding the myStoria Platform or Services ("Feedback"), you grant myStoria a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use, copy, modify, and incorporate such Feedback into the myStoria Platform or Services without obligation to you. Feedback does not include your personal health data or any data you have entered into the myStoria Platform. myStoria has no obligation to use any Feedback or to compensate you for it.
#12 Payments and Fees
Through the myStoria Platform you will be able to purchase various Services by making service selections or otherwise updating your account information. You agree to pay any and all applicable fees and charges associated with the Services. Payments are processed through Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or our payment processing partners. We reserve the right to change the pricing and fees associated with the Services at any time, and such changes will be effective as of the date indicated in the notice communicated to you.
#13 Code of Conduct
You agree not to engage in any conduct that violates these Terms, applicable laws, or the rights of others. You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any portion of the myStoria Platform without the express written permission of myStoria. You agree not to work around, bypass, or circumvent any of the technical limitations of the myStoria Platform, use any tool to enable features or functionalities that are otherwise disabled in the myStoria Platform, or decompile, disassemble or otherwise reverse engineer the myStoria Platform. You agree not to access the myStoria Platform or monitor any material or information from the myStoria Platform using any robot, spider, scraper, or other automated means. myStoria may, at its discretion, suspend or terminate the accounts of users who violate these Terms or engage in inappropriate conduct.
#14 Mobile App Permissions
When using our mobile application, you may be asked to grant access to certain features of your device such as the camera, microphone, or photo library. Granting these permissions is optional but may be required for certain features to function. You are responsible for managing these permissions in your device settings. myStoria does not access your device features without your explicit consent. App Store Terms Apply: Your use of the myStoria mobile application is also governed by the terms of service of the platform from which you downloaded the app (e.g., Apple App Store, Google Play).
#15 Indemnity and Limitation of Liability
Except as otherwise stated explicitly in these Terms, the Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without any warranty or condition, express, implied or statutory. myStoria does not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
AI Output Disclaimer. AI-generated content, insights, analyses, and chat responses are provided for informational purposes only and may contain inaccuracies. You acknowledge that AI technology has inherent limitations, including the potential for incorrect or incomplete outputs. You agree not to rely on AI-generated content as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.myStoria is not a medical provider, emergency service, or substitute for professional healthcare. For users on eligible subscription plans, Concierge access is available within the app to request human review of AI-generated content or to seek additional guidance.myStoria shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, including but not limited to, damages for loss of use, data or other intangible losses arising out of or relating to the use of or inability to use the Service (however arising, including negligence). In no event shall myStoria be liable for any damages resulting from unauthorized access to or use of your personal or health-related information.While we implement reasonable security measures to protect sensitive health data, you acknowledge and agree that myStoria does not guarantee absolute security and shall not be held responsible for any breach of security, loss, or theft of your health data due to events beyond our reasonable control.You agree that you shall indemnify and hold harmless myStoria, its affiliates, licensors, and each of their officers, directors, other users, employees, attorneys and agents from and against any and all claims, costs, damages, losses, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable legal fees and costs) arising out of or in connection with: (i) your violation or breach of these Terms or any applicable law or regulation; (ii) your violation of any rights of any third party; (iii) your use or misuse of the Services; or (iv) any third-party information you add to your account without proper authorization.
#16 Not Medical Advice
The myStoria Platform, including all AI-generated analyses, insights, summaries, and chat responses, is not intended to function as a medical device, nor does it provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. All information and support offered through the platform, whether generated by AI or provided by our Concierge Team, is educational and organizational in nature.
myStoria does not replace your relationship with your healthcare provider. Any health-related insights or information provided through the platform should be discussed with a licensed healthcare provider before making health-related decisions. In the event of a medical emergency, contact your healthcare provider or emergency services immediately.
#17 Termination & Data Deletion
You may cancel your subscription to the Services at any time either by updating your account on the myStoria Platform or by contacting myStoria Concierge at concierge@myStoria.com. myStoria may suspend or terminate your access to the myStoria Platform or Services at any time for any reason, including if you breach any of these Terms.Upon termination or account deletion, your data will be handled in accordance with Section 8 (User Data Rights) and our Privacy Policy. You may request deletion of all your data at any time, regardless of whether your subscription is active.
#18 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ontario, Canada and to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to irrevocably and unconditionally submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada with respect to any dispute, controversy or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Services.
#19 Waiver of Class Proceedings
To the extent permitted under applicable law, and except where explicitly prohibited under statute, you hereby waive any right you may have to commence or participate in any class action lawsuit against myStoria, including their officers, directors, members, employees, affiliates, or agents, related to any claim, dispute or controversy arising out of or related to these Terms. Where applicable, you hereby agree to opt out of any class proceeding against myStoria.
#20 Additional Terms
The failure of myStoria to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. If any provision of these Terms is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the other provisions of these Terms will remain in full force and effect. We may assign, transfer, or subcontract any or all of our rights or obligations under these Terms to any third party without your consent or notice to you. These Terms constitute the entire understanding between you and myStoria and supersede all prior agreements relating to your use of the myStoria Platform or Services.
