RESEARCH AND PRESS

The data behind the campaign

We commissioned a national survey of 1,000 American women to understand the gap between what sex ed teaches and what women actually need to know. The findings were striking — and validated what so many of us already knew from experience.

The full report includes breakdowns by age, geography, and educational background. Our press release covers key findings and context for media coverage.

What we asked

The survey covered five key areas: sex education quality, fertility knowledge gaps, healthcare access and trust, information sources, and unmet needs. Data was collected in March 2026 with a nationally representative sample.

Results are freely available and open for media use and citation. Contact press@mystoria.com for requests for comment.

Real Women, Real Answers

We hit the town and asked women what they wished they'd known. Here's what they told us.
COMMUNITY

Partner & Community Love

This campaign couldn't have been what it was without the organizations and communities that showed up with us — and the women who were brave enough to share their own stories. Thank you!
What did you wish you were taught in sex ed? My symptoms were not just regular cramps or part of being a woman. They were serious and I deserved better care sooner than I got it.
I wish someone had told me that what I was experiencing was not normal. I did not know I was allowed to push back.
I wish someone told me perimenopause happened. I had no idea there was a transition before menopause.
